  • Who can participate in the upgrade program?

    All users of a previous Smart Lock generation (Smart Lock, Smart Lock 2.0, Smart Lock 3.0, and Smart Lock 3.0 Pro) can participate in the upgrade program.

    You will need your Smart Lock ID to participate. This can be found in the Nuki app or on the backside of your Smart Lock. We use the Smart Lock ID to check whether your device is eligible for the upgrade program.

    The upgrade program is available in the following countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Northern Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA.

  • How does the upgrade program for Smart Hosting customers work?

    Do you manage less than 10 vacation rental properties? Then you can benefit from the same upgrade program as our end customers. Here’s how to get your upgrade:

    - Check your Smart Lock ID here.
    - Select the suitable upgrade and add it to your shopping cart.
    - Make your payment and enter the delivery information.

    Please note that we recommend the Smart Lock Pro + Keypad 2 upgrade for Smart Hosting users. The second upgrade (Smart Lock + free remote access) is not recommended for short-term rentals. You will require remote access to send digital entry codes, which will not be available for this variant until the beginning of 2024. Until then, you will also need a Nuki Bridge. For complete remote access as of now, we recommend that you upgrade with the 4th generation of the Smart Lock Pro.

  • What is Matter and what are its advantages for me?

    Matter is the new universal communication standard for smart home devices. It allows smart devices to be interconnected regardless of model or brand. Matter-enabled devices eliminate the need to worry about compatibility in the future. If your devices speak Matter, they are automatically compatible. To connect your devices, you’ll need a Matter-enabled smart home hub. You can find a list of such devices in our Help Center. The integration of Matter-enabled smart devices is as simple as it gets.   • How does remote access work without a Bridge?

    Starting in 2024, you will also be able to access your Smart Lock remotely via Thread. Thread is a new connectivity technology designed specifically for smart home applications. The requirement is that you need a smart home hub that supports Matter via Thread. Read all about Matter and Thread on our blog.

    You can look up the estimated shipping date for your Nuki package in your order. We will inform you via email when your order leaves our shipping depot. In this email you also get your tracking number, with which you can track your package on the website of our delivery service partner.
